Zuzuni Boutique Hotel has maintained strict standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the 14 years we have been operating. Our owners have decided to go the extra mile and transform Zuzuni Boutique Hotel into a certified Pure Hotel, the first in the Philippines.

Pure Wellness is a patented program that delivers the safest and healthiest environments. The 7-step Pure process applied to all hotel rooms combines:

  • deep cleaning surface technology that not only eliminates harmful viruses, bacteria, fungi and other microbes from both hard and soft surfaces but also inhibits their growth; and
  • state-of-the-art air purification technology scientifically proven to be capable of eliminating >99.99% of airborne viruses, bacteria, and particulates down to .007 microns in diameter.

The same deep cleaning program has been applied to all surfaces of the public areas in the Hotel. The disinfectants used under the Pure Program are US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) registered and Centers for Disease Control and Protection (CDC) approved for use against the virus that causes COVID-19.

To further ensure protection of guests and employees especially while COVID-19 remains a threat and in accordance with local and national government directives, the following measures have been put in place at Zuzuni Boutique Hotel:


  • All guests and employees must disinfect their shoes in the sanitizing mats at the door before entering the Hotel.
  • Temperatures will be checked prior to entry into the Hotel. Anyone with a temperature of above 37.5C/99.5F*, even after a 5 minute rest in the shade, or exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms will be directed to a health care provider for evaluation.
  • Guests must wear face masks to be able to enter the Hotel. Employees are required to wear face masks and shields.
  • Luggage will be disinfected before being brought into the Hotel.


  • Our Front Desk Staff will be attending to your needs from behind an acrylic barrier.
  • Check-in and check-out areas are separate. Areas are clearly marked.
  • Markers one (1) meter distance apart have been placed on the floor to ensure physical distancing is observed.
  • All guests must complete the Health Declaration Form in addition to the Registration Card upon check-in. Guests have the option of completing the Health Declaration Form online by scanning the QR Code at the Front Desk.
  • Only one (1) guest is allowed to go to the front desk station for check-in, other companion(s) needs to stay at the receiving area provided for incoming guests
  • A rubbing alcohol dispenser is provided at the counters.
  • Guests will be asked if they need assistance in bringing up their bags/luggage.
  • All surfaces and pens will be cleaned regularly.

Guest Rooms

  • All guest rooms are certified Pure Wellness Rooms with surfaces treated with disinfectants approved by the US CDC for use against the virus that causes COVID-19. The solution applied also coats the surfaces, inhibiting growth of mold, bacteria and viruses up to 90 days after application. Rooms are re-treated every 90 days.
  • A medical-grade Intellipure air purifier is installed in each guest room. The air purifier eliminates >99.99% of airborne particles including bacteria and viruses up to .007 microns in size, within 10 minutes. It is advisable to keep the air purifier running throughout the guest’s stay.
  • To minimize contact between guests and staff, “turndown” service will not be performed and guests staying for 2 nights only may forgo the daily room cleaning service if they prefer.
  • Staff will be in full PPE when cleaning the room.
  • Rooms are deep cleaned and disinfected upon departure of a guest.
  • Guests will find a safety kit with (spray bottle with 70% rubbing alcohol, tissue, a mask, and gloves) in addition to toilet amenities.

Public Areas

  • Face masks are to be worn in all public areas inside the Hotel.
  • Rubbing alcohol dispensers are placed in key areas on the ground floor.
  • Physical distancing of 1 meter is to be observed in all public areas in the Hotel.
  • Public areas are cleaned and disinfected every 2 hours. Guests will be informed of the cleaning schedule. Particular attention will be given to high touch areas including hand rails and door knobs.
  • Liquid hand soap and rubbing alcohol will be provided in the public toilet for hand hygiene.


  • Breakfast is served between 7-11 AM at the dining area on the ground floor.
  • Local government regulations require physical distancing of one meter at the restaurant. Only guests sharing a room can share a table. Markers have been placed to show which seats must remain empty. The allowed capacity of the restaurant may vary depending on guidelines of the local government or Department of Trade and Industry.
  • Depending on the total number of in-house guests and government-imposed capacity limitations at the time, the Hotel may have to implement a meal schedule. Guests will be asked to choose their preferred time slot the night before. Check-in Public Areas Guest Rooms Restaurant
  • Menus are accessed through a QR code placed on the table. A staff will come to your table to take your order.


  • The same physical distancing measures at check-in will be applied at check-out.
  • Guests will be asked if they need assistance bringing down bags/luggage.
  • Our Front Desk Staff will facilitate the check-out formalities behind an acrylic barrier
  • Key drop off bowls has been installed to limit contact and facilitate check out
  • A designated area is provided for guests waiting for their land transfers.

Our policies and procedures may change as we learn more about the virus and the disease from reliable sources and/or as directed by the local government and national government agencies. Rest assured, we will constantly strive to provide all Zuzuni guests with a safe play to stay while in Boracay.
